Our work begins in the gardens. Farmers and field facilitators observe plant conditions together, discuss cultivation challenges, and work through practical solutions side by side. Activities cover planting techniques, farm maintenance, disease identification, and record keeping, each one designed to strengthen what happens on an ordinary working day, not only during formal training sessions.
Technical assistance here is not a one-time intervention. It is a sustained process of learning, applying, and refining, shaped by what farmers encounter in their own gardens. Through regular field visits, farmers build confidence, make informed decisions, and gradually develop practices they can carry forward independently.
Petang has long been recognized as one of Bali’s most productive vanilla-growing areas. This program is invested in keeping it that way by putting farmers, not just practices, at the center of that continuity.
